The Stupp Center and Memorial Garden, in St Louis’ Tower Grove Park was constructed in 1982.  The Stupp Center and Garden was made possible by a bequest from Louise Stupp. The Stupp Center ‘s handsome octagonal room and lounge, adjacent to a well tower grove park

maintained garden and amphitheater, is consistent with the parks historic character. The stupp Center has a fountain, with an eagle sculpture on a red granite pillar, which serves as the focal point of the garden that is encircled by a brick and iron fence.  Louise Stupp designed this feature herself.

Wedding ReviewsWedding Officiant Reviews & Testimonials

Sark performed a civil ceremony for me and my husband on 4/9/2016 at Piper Palm House. The ceremony was so beautiful. After the ceremony, several of our guests commented on how beautiful Sark made our ceremony. Many of our unmarried guests said they would like him to officiate their wedding and a few of our married guests said they wished Sark would have officiated their wedding. Our family and guests are still talking about what a great job Sark did. I would definitely recommend Sark to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding officiant. Anytime I had a question, he was extremely easy to get a hold of. He really cares about how the couple wants their ceremony to go. He is very professional and punctual. Me and my husband were not very familiar with the process of wedding ceremonies, but Sark guided us through everything and explained all the different options to us and just made everything so easy for us. Sark is so friendly and passionate about his work. There is no doubt in my mind that we had the best wedding officiant. Everything about Sark is amazing.

Wedding ReviewsWedding Officiant Reviews & Testimonials

Rev. Sark made our wedding a happy, unique and very memorable experience. Many of our guests told us later that our wedding was one of the best, if not THE best, wedding they had ever been to, and that the Officiant had a lot to do with that. Rev. Sark had many useful suggestions for our ceremony and helped construct a memorable event. He is always smiling and a genuinely warm person who exudes a happy vibe that others like to be around. He is eloquent in speech and not pompous or pretentious. While masterfully guiding and leading our ceremony, Rev. Sark ensured that it was we who were getting married who were the highlight of the ceremony. I highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to have a happy and beautiful wedding.

Where do I begin?! Having Sark perform at our wedding was one of the best decisions my husband and I made, hands down. He spoke from the heart and really helped in making our vows unique and heartfelt. He’s outgoing and always has a smile on his face. He knows that this day doesn’t happen everyday and he truly helped in making it wonderful. Our ceremony could not have gone any smoother and he was extraordinarily easy to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs an excellent officiant for their special day.

Wedding ReviewsWedding Officiant Reviews & Testimonials

Rev. Sark was perfect! We couldn’t have been happier with our ceremony and everything leading up to it. He was actually the first and only officiant we interviewed – we loved him right away! He was always available for a phone call or to meet in person to discuss anything we wanted for our ceremony. He knew exactly what we wanted and even gave us some great ideas that we had not thought of but worked perfectly! His personality is so warm and friendly, and just makes you want to smile and give him a hug! I loved that he made the ceremony touching and meaningful, but still added a bit of humor to lighten the tears! Both of our families told us that he was just wonderful. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Wedding ReviewsWedding Officiant Reviews & Testimonials

Reverend Sark did an outstanding job during our wedding! He was willing to sit down with my husband and I and explain the whole ceremony outline. He added in fresh and modern ideas that really fit our relationship. Joe and I come from Catholic backgrounds and he was able to keep it traditional and modern to fit our needs. Reverend Sark was extremely personable, professional and organized. He showed up on time and organized to the rehearsal and ceremony. I felt like he understood Joe and I on a personal level as well as our relationship. We was able to understand the both of us with only two meetings. If you wanted to meet more, I am sure he would be willing to do so. Joe and I had full confidence with Reverend Sark the entire time. He is extremely easy to talk to and get along with. We got so many compliments after our wedding about how wonderful Reverend Sark was and where did we find such an amazing officiant? I would highly recommend him for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!

Rev Elking was amazing and made our wedding ceremony perfect! He was so helpful with coordinating the details of our ceremony and was a huge help with writing my vows. His warm and jovial personality made us feel like he was an old friend rather than an acquaintance.

Most importantly, we could tell that Rev Elking spoke from his heart as he performed our ceremony. His emotion was genuine, his words were beautiful, and that is one of the special memories I will cherish from my wedding. And of course, all of our guests commented on how they loved our ceremony. ? Thank you Rev Elking!

We highly recommend Sark Elking as an excellent wedding officiant. We are a “mature” couple that wanted a nice but low-key wedding ceremony, and Sark understood this perfectly. He was flexible in meeting with us on our schedule, and offered great ideas for the ceremony. We were married at Mineos Restaurant at Westport and he showed up early and walked us through all the details. Best of all, his ceremony was perfect, with a mixture of humor and sincerity. We had a wonderful wedding, thanks in no small part to Sark Elking!

We hired Sark Elking as our wedding officiant for our wedding ceremony at the Jewel Box in St. Louis. Sark was a great help in guiding me on how to write our ceremony. He made great

suggestions and offered experienced advice. We also hired his wife, Teri, to coordinate the ceremony. She was amazing! They guided us through the decisions we had to make and were very professional. They took time out of their busy schedules to attend our rehearsal dinner and make sure everything was just right. These two know how to run a show and you can tell they love what they do!! I highly recommend them!

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for all of your assistance with the wedding of my good friends Mark & Sue last Saturday.

Despite the heat and a last-minute change of venue, the ceremony was absolutely lovely.  Your words were perfect and very moving.  You truly have a gift of being able to put the right words together for people you hardly know!  I was very impressed with that ability.

Out of all the hundreds of Google results that came up for my search, I think there must have been a bit of “divine intervention” that led me to your site.

I don’t know why this is coming up 4.9 for the overall rating, as it should be a PERFECT 5. We would rate Reverend Sark even higher, if we could. My husband and I both love him! He was extremely flexible and accommodating. When we needed it, he provided spot-on advice. He is a great speaker, and more importantly, his message was loving and inspirational. We had a small, private ceremony and afterwards my husband commented that it was almost a shame that there weren’t more there to share such a beautiful ceremony. He would easily be an appropriate wedding officiant for two or two thousand guests. If he gave a weekly service, you would find us in his church every Sunday. We recommend him without hesitation.

Banquet Hall | Reception Facilities | Venues in St Louis

Banquet Hall | Reception Facilities | Venues in St Louis

Looking for the perfect place to have your wedding ceremony or reception in St Louis?                     For the perfect wedding officiant for your wedding ceremony.      Call…. 314-472-5017

When looking for a St Louis Banquet Hall or Reception Facility in St Louis, Mo and Surrounding Areas.  There are many St Louis banquet halls and reception venues to choose from.  Each St Louis Banquet Hall and Reception Facility can very quite a bit, and there are many things to consider.  Such as price, size, location, catering or food prep area, beer or wine options, open bar and much more.

Whether or not you want your St Louis Banquet facility or Reception Hall to just be Hall rental only in which you then you provide everything yourself, or whether you want an all inclusive banquet facility.  Many people think that the all inclusive venues are pricier, and out of their price range, and that they can save a lot of money buy doing it on their own or finding their own caterer and so….

Most of the time with a little patients and some shopping you can find quite the opposite to be true:

the Hall Rental Only –

  • You must first find a suitable Hall and pay for the rental fee $$$
  • You must provide the food or find a caterer $$$
  • Alcohol –  whether you are providing or it is provided by a licensed caterer $$$
  • Clean up – do It Yourself or Pay Cleaning fee  $$$
  • TableCloths and Decorations $$$

All Inclusive Venue –   I have seen pricing for as little as $13.95 a head.  Which includes food, alcohol, set up, decorating, plates and tablecloths, and clean up.  Try adding all the others fees together and see how they compare.  Sometimes the all inclusive venues can actually save you money, so don’t discount them without a little checking and comparing them first.

For some couples, the wedding banquet hall / reception hall doubles as the ceremony site as well. So why is choosing a wedding reception hall important?  This is the venue that the majority of the wedding will take place at. This is where most of the bride & groom’s wedding memories will be formed from.  It will be the food served at the location that guests talk about, and the atmosphere that they recall. Choose carefully.

It’s imperative that you don’t settle on one reception venue without considering the other location options available for your wedding first. While Venue A might pop immediately into your head, looking around at Venue B and Venue C as well could open your eyes to what else is available or even give your more ideas of what you want from the wedding reception hall you choose.

And Always when you need the right Wedding Officiant to perform the wedding ceremony you truly want on your wedding day.    Call…. 314-472-5017  Rev Sark Elking of St Louis Wedding Chapel

Evaluating your desires for your wedding reception hall:

When choosing the wedding reception hall, first identify what your ideal vision of the venue is. Both the bride and the groom should take part in this, as the decision regarding the location is one that will affect both.

Here are some good points to consider:

– Personal style: Do you prefer things to be more simple, elaborate, fairytale-like or some other style?  Your vision of your wedding day will influence what wedding reception hall you should choose. If the bride and the groom have different visions, it’s important to talk through the differing visions of the location and decide how to effectuate a compromise for the wedding reception hall.

– Guest list: Deciding how many people you intend to invite to the wedding matters. This will influence the size of the wedding reception hall necessary. Try to make a rough estimate of how many on the guest list will come as well so that you have a roundabout number to discuss regarding the venue.

– Ceremony plans: Where will the ceremony be held? If you are having the ceremony at a separate location, decide how far from the ceremony venue to the wedding reception hall you are willing to travel. Bear in mind that your guests will have to do this traveling too and it’s not nice to make them travel great distances between the two locations.

– Timeframe: Between the bride, the groom and the respective families, a timeframe for the wedding needs to be set. If you have a specific date in mind, be sure to run it by everyone. If not, narrow down the time frame to a month and year or a few dates.

Narrowing down the potential venue list:

In order to narrow the list of potential wedding reception hall locations, first you must make it. Populate your potential wedding reception hall location list with all the available wedding reception locations within the area you want to have the reception. Be sure to include venues such as any hotels with the appropriate facilities, country clubs, etc. You might even consider alternate locations like a family member’s backyard.

Now, compare that list to your list of desires. The wedding reception halls that meet all your desires should top the venue list. If that accounts for more than five venues, then you have your full list. If not, evaluate the list for wedding reception halls that meet most of your desires. Ideally you want your pared down list to contain at least 2-3 venues but no more than 8-9 venues.

Once you have your list, make appointments with all the potential wedding reception locations on the pared down list to visit and further evaluate them.

Visit the locations:

When visiting potential wedding reception locations, be prepared. It’s likely that the sales people will try to get you to commit immediately to their venue but it’s important that you stand your ground and see all the venues first. They might even try to tell you that the date won’t be available if you wait. This is usually just a scare tactic.

Choosing a wedding reception hall is a process that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s an important choice. Besides, it never hurts to let them sweat it out a bit because you could end up with extras thrown in to seal the deal.

You should be armed with a list of pertinent questions for each venue and somewhere to write the answers down (don’t forget the pen!). You’ll want to get the same answers from all the potential wedding reception hall locations so that you can go back and compare them later. You may also want to bring a camera and get a shot or two of each venue for your evaluation later.

Sample Questions:

1) What are your pricing packages and what do they include?
2) Do you provide catering services on site? Can we provide our own if we choose?
3) Will you provide the cake or do we need to get it from a bakery?
4) How many hours are included in the venue rental?
5) Is there an additional cost to have the ceremony at the wedding reception venue?
6) How many servers/waitstaff/bartenders will be provided based on our expected number of guests?
7) Is there a bridal suite for the bridal party?
8) Will there be other wedding receptions happening at the same time here as mine?
9) What additional charges are there for additional services such as open bar, valet parking, etc?
10) What is the availability of the venue during the desired timeframe?

Also, when visiting, pay attention to the staff’s behavior. Make sure that they make you feel comfortable, particularly the sales person who’ll be helping you plan and organize the reception details with respect to the location. The wedding reception hall that you choose should have attentive staff who make you feel comfortable and who are willing to work with you.

Choosing the wedding reception location:

After you’ve visited all the locations, compare the information you’ve compiled and decide which venues still meet your wants and desires.

If there are several venues that you liked and meet your needs, it’s time to narrow the selection more. This can be done by making lists of pros and cons of each location. Consider the cost, inclusions and the visual aspects of the wedding reception hall location. Also include the feelings you had about each place. Was it comfortable? Too formal? Were the staff friendly and helpful?

Be sure to include your fiancé and possibly even your families in this decision and be open-minded to their opinions – you might just find yourself agreeing with them. Remember that if you save some money on the wedding reception location, it could go to other aspects of the wedding like dress, flowers and limos.

Finally, once you’ve chosen your wedding reception hall location, it’s time to inform the wedding reception hall of your choice. Be sure to book your wedding reception hall location as early as possible as dates tend to fill up far in advance. A non-refundable deposit will likely be required in order to lock in your chosen date. Some venues do, for a fee, allow that charge to be refunded though, but that fee must be paid up front.

And as Always!
